The Supreme Court on Monday (June 19) ordered that no contractual employee of any newspaper organization can be denied the benefits of the Majithia Wage Board, and thus reiterated the verdict of February 7, 2014.

The apex court bench of Justices Ranjan Gogoi and Navin Sinha was hearing the petitions of Avishek Raja and 85 connected contempt petitions.

Their allegation was about a group of contempt petitions against minimum wages not being followed by newspaper agencies.
