Reports emanating from Tehran early on June 7 say that four gunmen have entered the Parliament of Iran, shot and injured a guard and also have taken hostages. In a developing story, reports from the semi-official Tasnim news agency said the guard was hit in the leg, and two members of the public were also injured, reports USA Today.
Neither the identity of the shooters nor the name of their organization was clear.
Reports by news agency Reuters, quoting a witness says security forces were now all around the building and inside and the incident might already be over. No casualties reported.
Another report says that two civilians and one guard from Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps were injured in the attack. It says that “a person entered Iranian parliament and started shooting at the guards. He shot one of the guards in the leg and ran away”.
