New Delhi (ILNS): Kshitij Prasad, the producer Dharma Productions Company, was granted bail by a Special NDPS court today. He was arrested in connection with a drug case. He has been asked to furnish a personal bond of Rs 50,000 and deposit his passport as a condition of bail.
Prasad was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau, which is probing alleged use of drugs in the film and entertainment industry following the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.
Prasad, through its counsel, contended that he had been coerced by the agency to falsely implicate actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Dino Morea and Arjun Rampal.
He further submitted that since he had refused to write false statements mentioning Kapoor, Morea and Rampal in his own handwriting, the NCB had been formulating various false statements as per their wishes.
The NCB on the other side vehemently denied these allegations as “false” and “baseless”.
