The examination of Supreme Court Advocate-on-Record (AoR) for 2022 will be conducted from December 19 to 22.
The information was shared on the website of the Supreme Court by way of a notice, which also provided details of the online lectures to be delivered by Senior Advocates to benefit candidates appearing for the exam.
It said, “Under Rules 5 () and (i) of Order IV, Supreme Court Rules, 2013 and Regulation 2 of the Regulations regarding Advocates-on-Record Examination made thereunder governing the Examination for Advocates-on-Record, it is hereby notified for the information of all concerned that the next Examination for the Advocates-on-Record will be held in the Supreme Court Premises; New Delhi on 19, 20, 21 and 22 December, 2022.
“All the advocates who have completed their training for a continuous period of one year commencing from the end of the fourth year of date of their enrollment ending with the 30th November, 2022 or would complete their training before the commencement of the said examination, shall be eligible to appear for the aforesaid examination,” it added.
It further said that the applications should reach the Secretary, Board of Examiners, by November 1, 2022.
It said the physical copy of application form may be obtained from the office of the Secretary on any working day during the working hours.
The information was given by way of a notice issued by Rajesh Kumar Goel, Registrar and Secretary, Board of Examiners, AOR Examination.
However, the last date for submission of applications was extended to November 9, considering the request regarding the same.
In another notice, the AOR Examination shared details about the lectures for the candidates.
It said, “Under the auspices of the Board of Examiners for the Advocates-on-Record Examination, lectures for the candidates for the ensuing examination will be delivered by the learned Senior Advocates, through online webinar
mode as per the following Schedule and the link for joining the lecture will be
shared in due course.
“The time of commencement of all
lectures shall be 04:15 pm,” it added.
The notice also said that any further change in the schedule of lectures will be notified separately.
