The elevation of Advocate Neela Gokhale as Judge of Bombay High court has been recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium on Tuesday.
The decision was taken by the Collegium in its meeting held on January 10, 2023.
Talking about Advocate Neela Gokhale,she has represented Lieutenant Colonel Prasad Purohit, who was an accused in the 2018 Malegaon Blast case.
The Bombay High Court as of today is functioning at a strength of 65 judges although the sanctioned strength of court is 94 judges.
