Unknown miscreants attacked and robbed a Supreme Court lawyer of his mobile phone and cash, while he was returning home in Bengaluru.
As per a leading English daily, 52-year-old Dasari Govind was returning from Jalahalli Metro Station to his apartment on the night of June 27, when the incident occurred.
The media report said one of the accused snatched the lawyer’s phone. While Govind initially overpowered the miscreant, his accomplice came to help him. The two assailants then assaulted Govind and fled with his mobile phone and Rs 3000 cash.
As per the lawyer, a few passers-by helped him to stand properly. The Advocate said he noticed the assailants leaving in a vehicle, which was patrolling close to the spot.
As per a newspaper, a case has been registered against the accused for the offences of robbery and attempt to cause death or grievous hurt.
