The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the transfer of Justice Vipul M Pancholi of Gujarat High Court to Patna High Court.
In the collegium meet of September 29, the decision was taken , whereas it was published on the Supreme Court website on Monday.
The Collegium statement said that the Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on 29th September, 2022 has recommended transfer of Mr. Justice Vipul Manubhai Pancholi, Judge, Gujarat High Court, to Patna High Court.
Justice Pancholi who was born on May 28, 1968, joined the Bar in September 1991. He started his practice as an advocate in the Gujarat High Court.
Later on, he was elevated as the additional judge of the Gujarat High Court October 1, 2014 , while he was confirmed as permanent Judge on June 10, 2016.
In the present context, the transfer of another Gujarat High Court judge to Patna High Court has been embroiled in controversy.
in the last week, the Collegium had last recommended the transfer of Justice Nikhil S Kariel to Patna High Court, which came forth in form of a protest by the Gujarat bar, which is still on and was likely to be ended tomorrow.
GHCAA delegation which represents bar met Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud today only to convey their grievances regarding that transfer.
