The appointment of Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh as Chief Justice of Tripura High Court has been notified by the Central government.
The tweet on the same was moved by the Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju in his official Twitter handle today.
The tweet read that as per the relevant provisions under the Constitution of India,the President of India has appointed Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh, Judge of Jharkhand High Court as the Chief Justice of Tripura High Court.
The Supreme Court Collegium recommended the appointment of Justice Singh as the Chief Justice of Tripura High Court following the retirement of Justice Jaswant Singh.
Considering that Justice Singh was set to retire on February 22, the Collegium chose to recommend the appointment of Justice Kumar.
