In a shocking incident, the Gopalganj Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) was allegedly manhandled by policemen on way to court. According to The Indian Express, the Patna High court has taken a serious note of the incident by treating his complaint as a PIL and directed the Bihar director general of police and state principal secretary, home, to appear before the court on Monday.
Policemen deployed at Maunia Chowk, near Gopalganj court, allegedly stopped ACJM Prabhunath Prasad who wanted to go to court through a road that was blocked. According to Prasad, a sub-inspector even slapped him after heated arguments between the judge and the cops stationed at the place.
