The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday sought information from the Uttar Pradesh Government and the Police Recruitment Board on a petition seeking appointment on the basis of getting marks more than the cut-off marks of general category women candidates in 31,360 Police Constable Recruitment 2018.
The division bench of Allahabad High Court while hearing a PIL filed by Mahendra Pratap Singh asked the Director-General of Police, Uttar Pradesh, and the members of the S.I.T team to clarify the inaction of the Police Authorities
Relying on the decision of the Delhi High Court in “Jayswal Neco Ltd. Vs. Union of India & Ors.”, Advocate V.K Shukla, representing the petitioner, contended that the jurisdiction vests with Delhi High Court in as much as the Railway Board is situated in Delhi.
