A Circular of the Supreme Court dated November 6 states that there shall be no unauthorized sharing of links by Advocates on Record and parties-in-person without the permission of the Court for hearing of matter through video conferencing.

The Supreme Court today (July 14) issued notice to the Bar Council of India (BCI) on a plea seeking permission to use advertisements for lawyers till March 2021 so that other paralegal work can be taken up by them to earn their livelihood amid the COVID 19 pandemic.
The Punjab and Haryana Bar Council has asked lawyers to not use social media for advertisements to solicit work, as the act would amount to misconduct.
