Chief Justice of India Justice N.V. Ramana on Monday said it will hear the impleadment application by a group of builders seeking the removal of the ban on construction in the National Capital Region on Friday while turning down the request for urgent listing.

During the hearing on air pollution in the Supreme Court, the Center informed about the formation of the task force.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday reserved its order on concerning rising levels of air pollution in Delhi. The special bench led by CJI N.V. Ramana to continue hearing the plea by 17-year-old Delhi student Aditya Dubey over concerning rising levels of air pollution in NCT of Delhi.

The Supreme Court on Monday said it's unfortunate while expressing displeasure over not taking emergent measures to curb air pollution and directed the Centre and the states to convene an executive meeting and implement a plan to curb air pollution by tomorrow evening.

The bench said it has got many questions to ask the Delhi government and that if they ask all the questions, they don’t know which way the case will go. So, it’s better for the Delhi government to intervene in the pending matter before the Supreme Court.

During the hearing on Wednesday, the High Court has issued a notice to all private operators to furnish quick reply.
