Calcutta High Court dismisses a PIL seeking transfer of the investigation of the FIR alleging employment has been illegally provided to the family members of Member of Legislative Assembly of one of the political party in AIIMS, Kalyani to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The Delhi High Court on Wednesday allowed a 34-year-old pregnant woman to undergo medical termination of her 23-week pregnancy even though the Medical Board of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) suggested further testing.
The Delhi High Court, on Tuesday, directed the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) to constitute a medical board to examine the feasibility of termination of pregnancy of a woman, who approached the court alleging that the fetus she’s carrying suffers from ‘Nuchal Edema and Bilateral Cleft Lip and Palate’.
Mr Ashok Agarwal appearing for the petitioner put it into the notice of the court that DMD is a recognized form of disability under the rights of persons with disabilities Act, 2016.
