The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday sought a complete report of the incident, wherein Rajendra Sharma, a practicing advocate in Etah, was beaten by police and his relatives too were humiliated and harassed.
The Court allowed the petition on the ground of the woman being an adult and said, "the woman has the right to live her life on her own terms." The Court also quashed an FIR lodged against the couple in Kotwali Dehat Police Station of District Etah.
The Court has cancelled the order of declaring unfit in the medical board examination of selected candidates, who had been successful in the physical test and medical board in 2018 police recruitment. The Court has directed the board to issue an appointment letter.
The petition, filed by Advocates Devesh Saxena and Shashwat Anand, has sought a stay on the effect and operation of the impugned ordinance promulgated by the UP Governor and direction to the government to not take any coercive action in pursuance of the impugned ordinance.
The BJP's election symbol is India's national symbol Lotus and therefore, it should be banned from confiscation and misuse. The Court has allowed the petitioner to make any other political party as a party in the Petition.
The accused has tendered an unconditional apology in his affidavit tendered in the Court which is taken on record. He wrote his unconditional and unqualified apology for his wrongful act and undertakes not to commit any such act in the future.
