A Delhi court on Wednesday discharged Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, along with nine others, in the assault case involving the then Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash.
The trial court had ordered that prosecution in the case be conducted by an officer of the Delhi Police, not below the rank of Additional CP. The trial in the Chief Secretary Assault case is on hold for more than one-and-a-half years.
The Delhi High Court today set aside an impugned order and directed the trial court to consider the statement of a witness while framing charges in connection with the case related to the alleged assault on former Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash.
