A Delhi court on Thursday granted bail to Jawaharlal Nehru University student Sharjeel Imam in a case pertaining to the violence that occurred on the December 13 and 14, 2019 in Jamia Millia Islamia. Imam was arrested under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). He was also among the several activists accused under UAPA registered by the Delhi Police in the Delhi Riots of 2020.

The Meghalaya High Court has granted bail to a 21-year-old man accused of raping his mother, who had lodged the FIR alleging that he had raped her in Sohra Police Station, Cherrapunji in the state.
