Bihar assembly polls will be the first large scale election in India, amid the Covid 19 pandemic. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is all set to return to power in Bihar, according to an IANS C-Voter Bihar opinion poll survey.
In a press conference held in Delhi today, Chief Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora announced that the Bihar elections will be held in three phases and will commence on the October 28. The other dates are November 3 and November 7. The results will be announced on November 10.
Bihar Director General of Police (DGP) Gupteshwar Pandey late last evening took voluntary retirement after 33 years in service. Speculation is rife that the officer will contest the upcoming Bihar Assembly election from Buxar constituency as an NDA candidate.
