The PIL filed by National President Hindu Sena prayed to to constitute a special Investigating Team headed by a retired judge of the Supreme Court to direct the Central Bureau of Investigation to investigate the offence which occurred on 21.03.2022 in Village Bogtui District Birbhum, West Bengal.

The Calcutta High Court on Friday ordered the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to investigate the violence that erupted in Bogtui village of West Bengal's Birbhum district on March 22, following the death of Trinamool Congress-controlled Panchayat's member Bhadu Sheikh.

Eight people, including three women and two children, were locked in their homes and burnt alive by a mob on Tuesday at village Bogtui near Rampurhat town. The violence took place after a local Trinamool Congress leader, Bhadu Sheikh was killed in a crude bomb attack while many villagers claim a local rivalry led to the killings.
