The plea in Supreme Court states that a majority of patients with mucormycosis, or black, yellow & white fungus, etc are those who have recovered from COVID 19, and ex-gratia compensation under the Disaster management act may be extended.
The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) will place before the Delhi High Court today, the status report regarding the portal created for tracking the complete channel for distribution of Covid-19, Mucormycosis (Black Fungus) medicines.
The Bench of Justices Vipin Sanghi and Jasmeet Singh yesterday directed both the Centre and the ICMR to place status reports before the Court on Friday.

It further noted that Counsel appearing for the Centre Kirtiman submitted that it would be informed to the Secretary Finance and CBDT and decision would be taken in a couple of days.
Amicus Khosla submitted that a proposal to put in place a tele-consultancy system has not borne fruit, leaving the citizens in the lurch. He also referred to the recent spread of black fungus in the region. According to him, steps need to be taken to curb this at the initial stage itself.
