Widening of roads that connect the Char Dham in Uttarakhand and also reaches the Indo-China border will cause adverse impact in the hilly region resulting in felling of trees and avalanches, Senior Advocate Colin Gonsalves told the Supreme Court.
New Delhi (ILNS): A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court against the Uttarakhand High Court’s order dismissing a plea challenging the takeover of the Char Dham and 51 other shrines by the Uttarakhand government by forming the Char Dham Devasthanam Management Board.
Nainital: The Uttarakhand High Court today (July 21) dismissed a petition by BJP leader Subramanian Swamy, who had claimed that the state government’s takeover of the Char Dhams and 51 other shrines through the Char Dham Devasthanam Management Board, was unlawful.
