A bench Supreme Court said that the suo motu extension of limitation period will stand withdrawn with effect from October 1, 2021. The Court observed that as the COVID-19 cases have come down and indicated that a buffer period of 90 days will be given with effect from October 1.
The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the transfer of the Chief Justices of five High Courts to other states. The Collegium headed by Chief Justice of India Justice N.V. Ramana has made the recommendations on September 16.
