The Allahabad High Court has recently issued notice and sought counter-affidavit from the Uttar Pradesh Government on a plea filed against the contentious statements of Waseem Rizvi, who is now known as Jitendra Narayan Singh Tyagi after his conversion, at a Dharam Sansad in Haridwar. He was the former chairman of the Shia Waqf Board.

Allahabad High Court while hearing a petition filed by Shyoraj Singh and another observed that when the process of land acquisition is completed and the government has taken possession of the land, it can't be expected to keep the police stationed there at all times to maintain physical possession.

Allahabad High Court division bench while hearing a special Appeal defective filed by Kamlesh Yadav has dismissed the petition relying upon the judgment of the Court in Writ Petition (Shiv Singh and others Vs. State of U.P and others) decided on August 16, 2021.

Justice Sen pointed out to the SG that the judgments cited by him (as above) referred to disruptive circumstances that arose 'during the course of trial'. The judge asked: "Can you give us any illustration of the present case where such transfer was allowed in bail application?"

The case involves senior ministers and MLAs of the Trinamool Congress who have been left hanging through an interment order issued by the CBI, and a stay on the bail order for all four, issued by the high court.
