The first resolution relates to the National Judicial Infrastructure Authority of India (NJIAI). The CJI said, "To support the NJIAI, complementary state bodies are to be created as special purpose vehicles which will help in creation and augmentation of judicial infrastructure in the country.
The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the transfer of the Chief Justices of five High Courts to other states. The Collegium headed by Chief Justice of India Justice N.V. Ramana has made the recommendations on September 16.
The Supreme Court has passed a slew of directions to the chief justices of every high court in order to ensure expeditious disposal of pending criminal cases against the Legislators (MPs and MLAs). The directives included advice to the chief justices to personally oversee such cases.
