The Supreme Court on April 04 , dismissed an appeal against the order of the Competition Commission of India (CCI) which rejected the challenged  to the Clause 28 of Rules of Legal Education, 2008 according to which, candidates belonging to General category who have attained the age of more than 30 years, are barred from pursuing legal education.

Delhi High Court division bench was hearing an appeal preferred by the social media platforms challenging the order passed by the Single Judge wherein the Single Judge refused to interfere with the ’s probe for investigation against the platform’s new privacy policy.

The Supreme Court on Monday refused to stay inquiry against e-commerce giants Amazon and Flipkart by the Anti-Competitive Commission for alleged Competition Law Violations, stating "Big Corporates like Amazon and Flipkart should be subject to transparency and inquiry."

The Delhi High Court on Friday deferred to August 27, hearing on the appeal filed by WhatsApp and its parent company Facebook, challenging the order passed by the Single-Judge Bench, wherein the Single Judge refused to interfere with the Competition Commission of India's probe for investigation

The Supreme Court is currently hearing a matter on whether an emergency arbitration award won by Amazon in the Singapore International Arbitration Centre is valid and whether the Future Group can be restrained from completing the transaction

The Counsel for the Competition Commission of India (CCI) has agreed that no precipitate action will be taken against WhatsApp of Facebook before the hearing of the case against a notice from the CCI.
