A Writ Petition was filed before the Supreme Court under Article 32 of the Constitution of India. Today during the hearing court has opined to the petitioners to move to the Allahabad High Court.
The petition in the Supreme Court said that the impugned Act is unconstitutional and violative of Article 340 of the Constitution of India on the ground that reservation is permissible only to classes and not to a particular caste.

In the present case, the petitioner is alleged to have been carrying a huge quantity of foreign currency on their person or in-hand baggage or in their checked-in-baggage, and would attempt to smuggle out the same.
“The conducting of this examination is resulting in endangering the life of thousands of doctors who are frontline workers in different hospitals which is a clear negation of Article 21 of the Constitution of India,” the plea says.
