Kerala High Court disposes of Public Interest Litigation filed seeking direction to make sufficient provisions for converting dry leaves and fossils of trees into compost manure
The Supreme Court bench led by CJI N.V. Ramana said the plea was compiled on the strength of newspaper reports and refused to hear it. The plea said Muslims were forcing Hindus in the district to convert to Islam by threatening them with force.
It is further clarified that the fact of the petitioner having converted to Islam would not be a relevant factor while ensuring that there is no interference in the liberty of the petitioners unless there is any allegation by petitioner no.1 regarding forcible conversion.
