The plea submits that the Delhi government has not issued any guideline or policy for providing status reports of the Covid-19 patients admitted in hospitals to the attendants or family members therefore they are not aware about the status of the condition of the patient.
The plea further sought directions to the States to issue death certificates/ any letter to the families of deceased, stating therein the cause of death. The medical officers have not been conducting post mortem of the persons, who are dying due to COVID-19.

Dr K.K. Aggarwal, a former President of the Indian Medical Association, died of Covid-19 on Monday night. He was 62. Aggarwal had been on ventilator support for the past few days at the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), his family said.
