Center said in an affidavit in the Supreme Court that the NDMA has recommended an amount of Rs 50,000 each as ex-gratia payment to covid-19 deceased families. The Affidavit, was filed by Govind Mohan, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, was in response to Supreme Court directions.

The Supreme Court today has sought the response from Centre and National Medical Council on a PIL by post-graduate doctors alleging that question pattern for NEET-Super Speciality 2021, has been altered only to favour those who have done post-graduation in general medicine at the cost of other disciplines.

Brajesh Pathak, the Uttar Pradesh Minister of Legislative Affairs, Justice, Rural Engineering, has written to the District Magistrate, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh to set up RT-PCR test centres in all wards of Lucknow constituency keeping in view the current COVID pandemic situation which is getting worsen day-by-day.

He has further submitted that while window for filing of cases in the High Court may remain open but there should be no physical hearing of cases and even online hearing of cases should be done where issues regarding demolition, eviction and recovery are involved.

The Counsel appearing for banquet halls submitted that after filing of the petition all the banquet halls have been re-requisitioned and handed back on August 21, 2020
