The pandemic is surely surging back, and who knows what level of infection would be detected after the poll process is over. In the end, though, the common man is the worst sufferer. He is damned if he does (engage in the poll process) and damned if he doesn’t.
A petition has come before Supreme Court – filed by Jamiat Ulama I Hind against the Union of India – asking it to direct the government and the media not to demonize the entire Muslim community for the spread of COVID-19, because of one religious congregation, by the Tablighi Jamaat at Nizamuddin Markaz.
