The Supreme Court today refused a plea seeking directions to the National Testing Agency (NTA) to set up National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) exam centres abroad to enable students residing overseas to write their exams amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
A two judge bench of Justices Vipin Sanghi and Rajnish Bhatnagar said that there was no doubt in allowing this petition in any manner, but the question was why the petitioner was pretending to be the ‘saviour’ of these teachers.
The Delhi High Court disposed of 2,800 main cases and around 11,000 miscellaneous applications, through video conference hearings, between April 1 and July 31. The court had listed 13,000 matters before different benches.
