A taxi driver has moved the Delhi High Court, challenging the decision of the Delhi government to not provide his taxi with a fitness certificate, just because he has been given a speeding ticket.

With the hue and cry over stigmatisation of Covid positive patients when authorities stuck posters outside homes, the authorities have now decided to not stick any such poster.

The Delhi High Court today stayed the Delhi government’s order directing private hospitals to reserve 80 percent of ICU beds for COVID-19 patients. The petition alleged that the decision of reserving the beds is denying them treatment, as well as exposing non-COVID-19 patients to the risk of COVID-19.

The state government today informed the Delhi High Court that it will provide widows Rs 2,500 as monthly pension and a one-time payment of Rs 1 lakh for the marriage of their daughters.
