The Delhi High Court on Wednesday issued notice on a petition filed by Harnam Singh seeking directions to pay salaries of sanitation workers of Delhi till January 2021.
The bench while directing the respondents to maintain the status quo till the pronouncement of the order noted, “this Court is satisfied that immediate orders are necessary to protect the rights of the petitioner till the pronouncement of the reserved order.”
The judgment was pronounced by a single-judge bench led by Justice Vibhu Bakhru on the appeal against the order of the trial court which had convicted the appellants for the offences punishable under Section 109 read with Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code.
Dutt told a press conference the BJP has been in control of the municipal corporations for 13 years. The BJP had said in the 2017 manifesto that if the Delhi government does not provide funds, it will take money from the Centre.
Directing the authorities to take custody of the Hippopotamus, the Court said that the animal should be placed in Delhi Zoo and if the animal is recovered from any other site then the animal should be placed in a nearby Zoo
The bench ,commenting on the situations, said, ''What kind of society we are emerging into, if the situation persists the day is not far when the politicians and officers will be lynched by the public at large."
Senior Advocate Rajiv Nayar has written to Delhi High Court Chief Justice D.N. Patel to reconsider forcing physical hearing and extending virtual hearing for 2-3 more months.
