The Supreme Court on Friday upheld the validity of a public notice issued by the National Council for Teachers Education calling upon teachers training schools to submit performance appraisal reports in order to ensure that there are neither ghost teachers nor ghost students in such institutions.
The High Court of Delhi, today allowed the re-opening of some areas of the Nizamuddin Markaz, the place famous for the Tablighi Jamaat congregation which was held during the Covid times and created quite an uproar. The Markaz has remained shut since then.
The petition in Delhi High Court has been filed by AAP MLA against vandalisation outside the official residence of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on March 30. The PIL seeking the constitution of a Special Investigation Team to undertake an independent criminal investigation in the incident.
The Delhi High Court on Tuesday disposed of a PIL, seeking direction to the Delhi government to recall the decision on 100 per cent physical re-opening of schools with effect from April 1, till the time the school-going children were vaccinated completely.
Though PILs are meant to help the poor, they are being increasingly misused by vested parties. This has overburdened the judiciary and led to delays in disposal of bonafide cases.
