A Supreme Court bench adjourned the hearing in an appeal filed by the “National Medical Commission” challenging the order of Rajasthan High Court for two weeks.
Siddharth Luthra, Sr. Advocate for Shivinder argued before the 3 Judges Supreme Court bench that the Petitioner Shivinder has been languishing in Judicial Custody since October 2019,i.e (23 months) to be precise.
Christian Michel was arrested by ED in December 2018 and has been in custody ever since. He has applied for bail several times, but all his applications were dismissed. Michel is an alleged middleman, who is being investigated by the ED as well as CBI in the AgustaWestland VVIP Chopper Scam.
The plea alleges that Mr. Pujari does not hold a postgraduate degree viz. Doctor of Medicine (‘MD’) or any other similar or equivalent recognised postgraduate degree. Thereby, his appointment is a blatant violation of requirement of the Section 4(2) of the NCISM Act, 2020, claims the plea.
The Counter affidavit has been filed in Supreme Court by Deputy Commissioner of Delhi Police according which in March , 2020 , the COVID - 19 virus began spreading across the country and the Government of India as well as State Governments imposed Lockdown and other restrictions to control its spread .
Delhi High Court bench however, refused to grant any interim stay on the tender notice floated by the Government for bids for the grant of zonal retail licenses for the sale of liquor.
Senior Advocate Bhushan submitted that before the hearing of the petition, a notice was served upon the signing authority of the petitioner organisation by a Delhi Police Officer, directing him to comply with certain directions specified in the notice and to face criminal action in the event
The Delhi High Court asked the concerned authorities to treat the plea as a representation and appoint doctors/anesthetists. “This decision will be taken by the respondents in accordance with law, rules, regulations and relevant policies applicable to the facts of the case, as expeditiously as possible
The Delhi High Court has in a judgement dated August 31 directed the Government of India to place a report before the High Court pertaining to the manner and mode of creating a permanent mechanism to deal with inter-country adoptions under the Hindu Adoptions Maintenance Act (HAMA)
