The Delhi High Court has issued notice in response to a petition filed by the Central government seeking the quashing of the order passed by the Central Information Commission alleging that it has misinterpreted the provisions of the Right to Information Act, 2005.
The Delhi High Court has directed the Delhi government to hold salary of the Secretary Rural Development Department and the Principal Secretary (Revenue)/Divisional Commissioner till such time the industrial award(s) in favour of workmen remain unimplemented.
The petition has been filed by Kismatun, a widowed mother of deceased Faizan who has allegedly been assaulted and murdered by policemen seeking a Court-monitored Special Investigation Team for an investigation in the matter.

The bench has directed the defendants that “no-new article will be published ‘uploaded or make available’ infringing the copyright of the petitioners, file Written Statements, reply, on or before December 31.
