New Delhi (ILNS): The Punjab and Haryana High Court has quashed the order to suspend the advocacy licence of Advocate Vijay B Verma, the former head of the District Bar Association.
The Supreme Court, while upholding the order of a disciplinary Committee dismissing a police constable who was acquitted in a murder case, said: “Acquittal in a criminal trial does not conclude a disciplinary enquiry.”
Prashant Karmakar, an Arjuna Awardee and renowned para-swimmer, has reached the Delhi High Court challenging the 3-year suspension imposed on him by the Paralympics Committee of India (PCI).
