The Delhi High Court has directed Delhi University to file a fresh affidavit giving the updated status of the evaluation of answer sheets of the final year undergraduate students. The court also wants to know the status of integration of emails, as well as on the proposed date for declaration of results.
The University Grants Commission has directed that final exams should be held, with Covid-19 precautions observed and in a possible hybrid form. Proceedings in the Supreme Court on the issue are examining the likely options which affect the future of all students
The UGC’s announcement that final-year exams are compulsory in the midst of the pandemic drew petitions from students across the country even as some central varsities are keen to conduct them online
The Delhi High Court today (July 9) cut to the chase and directed that the DU must be clear and candid with the students and give clear timelines. “Have some empathy for the students,” the court commented.
