The association said farmers have the right to discuss, criticise and protest against the Centre's farm laws. It called upon all concerned Governments to uphold the farmers' right to peaceful protest.
The legal fraternity has come out in full support of the farmers’ demands and has urged the Government of India to consider the genuine demands of the farmer community.
Ahead of the Bandh, the Home Ministry on Monday issued an advisory to states and Union Territories, in which, it asked them to tighten security in view of Covid-19 guidelines during Tuesday’s Bharat Bandh.
According to the notice, Ranaut’s tweet indicated that one of the activists and an old woman Daadi, is available for a paltry sum of Rupees 100 per day thereby implying that the said farmers agitation is a motivated, paid and sponsored protest.
In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he wrote that the central government brought these three bills without discussion with farmers and experts.
Each and every citizen of the country has the right to protest, saying farmers belong to certain political parties is extremely irresponsible, said advocate Phoolka. Many of the farmers are from my village, he said. What the Haryana government did was wrong instead the government should heed the demands.
