The condition for former President Pranab Mukherjee deteriorated today, it has been reported in a section of the media, quoting hospital sources. Reports said that the 84-year-old Mukherjee has possibly developed traits of a lung infection.
Former President Pranab Mukherjee remains on ventilator and in critical condition, following a brain surgery on Monday to remove a blood clot. Mukherjee, 84, who had fallen down at his residence, was rushed to hospital where it was found that he was also COVID positive.
Former President Pranab Mukherjee himself announced this over Twitter, saying: “On a visit to the hospital for a separate procedure, I have tested positive for COVID19 today. I request the people who came in contact with me in the last week, to please self isolate and get tested for COVID-19.”
