The Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia and Justice Manash Ranjan Pathak heard a PIL filed by Indrajit Chakma raising concern that refugees belonging to Chakma, Hajong, and other communities living in three districts of Arunachal Pradesh are not getting food supplies.
This matter, if need be, can be looked into by the Registrar of Co-operative Societies under the due process of law, opined the Gauhati High Court, regarding the Assam Co-operative Apex Bank running in violation of law

Prima facie, it appears to be a classification not founded on intelligible differentia nor it is found to have a rational relation/nexus to the object sought to be achieved by such classification, namely, containment and further spread of COVID-19 pandemic, noted the apex court.
