The Kohima Bench of Gauhati High Court heard Neiteo Koza, Counsel appearing for the Petitioner, and also heard Moa Imchen, Senior Government Advocate appearing for the State on Constitution of State Mental Health Authority.
The court noted: The advertisement was made pursuant to Memo No. DJK/2433-34 dated 07.06.2016 issued by the District Legal Services Authority, Kamrup (DLSA, Kamrup).

The Gauhati High Court has observed that after an accused has been granted bail by a Court, “the said Court had no authority in law to refuse the acceptance of bail bond”.
In the present case, the petitioner was suspected to be a foreigner post march 25, 1971 and the onus was upon her to prove that she is an Indian citizen and not a foreigner.
