The Supreme Court bench of Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and M.M. Sundresh dismissed the plea of a Village Administrative Officer accused of corruption and bribery after observing that both the High Court of Madras & the Magistrate Court on proper appreciation of evidence arrived at a logical conclusion that the demand for bribe and acceptance of bribe had been proved against the petitioner.

In the notification, applications were invited from the eligible advocates for the post of Special Government Pleader in the Madras High Court and its Bench at Madurai.

A divisional bench of Supreme Court said, “These doctors are waiting and you aren't doing anything, what are you saying, you are in process.”

As per the case of prosecution, Indumathi (deceased ) and her sister Praveena had gone to school, on the way they were hit by a tractor from behind.
