A highly interesting and timely PIL had come before the Supreme Court today. The petition had sought directions to the HRD Ministry on waiver of fees for primary level students and also a waiver of extra fees charged under different heads by schools.
The Supreme Court today (July 17) refused to entertain a public interest petition seeking uniform education with common syllabus and curriculum for all children aged between 6-14 years, across the country.
Delhi High Court bench of Justice Prathiba M. Singh, heard a petition filed by a final year PG student, Anupam, along with other students of Delhi University.
The petitioner has also prayed before the Court to ascertain the feasibility of establishing “One Nation One Education Board” by merging Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Board into Central Board of Secondary Education or vice-versa.
