The Supreme Court today issued notice to the Uttarakhand government over the hate speeches delivered during the Dharam Sansad congregation last month in Haridwar.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday heard the Future Group plea challenging the Delhi High Court's order dated October 29 that had rejected its plea for an interim stay on the Singapore Arbitration Tribunal order that declined to interfere with the Emergency Award restraining it from going ahead with the Reliance deal.
Chief Justice of India N.V. Ramana today expressed concern over the delay in the finalization of a Central scheme to comabt hunger and malnutrition. “We are concerned about the hunger, people and children dying because of hunger,” CJI Justice Ramana said.
The Supreme Court has declined to hear a plea on hate speech and rumour mongering saying advance notice must be first given to respondents in another plea dealing with similar matters.
