Chief Justice of India N.V. Ramana on Saturday gave full credit of filling up the vacancies in the Supreme Court, as well as various High Courts of the country, to the Supreme Court Collegium, calling it a team effort.
Advocate Diksha Mishra, Counsel of petitioner Haldibari Tea Manufacturers LLP, suggested the name of Justice A K Ganguly, on which respondent Vishwanathan KV also gave his consent, to solve their dispute.
The Supreme Court took suo motu cognisance of the delay being caused in the release of convicts after granting of bail on the ground that the jail authorities did not receive the authentic copy of the court order
