Uttarakhand High Court heard a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) is filed on the ground that the public road in Village Nasirpur Kalan, Tehsil and District Haridwar, is generally submerged under water.
“Merely appointing an Enquiry Officer does not mean that the representation has been allowed, or that appropriate steps have been taken by the State against the erring officers”, observed the Division Bench of Uttarakhand High Court.
The Uttarakhand High Court has recently directed the Uttarakhand Government to ensure the District Magistrates of Dehradun, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, and Pauri Garhwal should be directed to complete the inquiry into alleged corruption at the state-run Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board and send their respective inquiry reports to the State Government by December 1.
Uttarakhand High Court on bare perusal of the reliefs prayed by the petitioner held reveal that neither of the first two prayers can be granted by the Court by issuance of the writ of mandamus to the respondents.
