The Gauhati High Court has closed a Suo Moto Public Interest Litigation (PIL) based upon the decision taken by the Committee of the High Court for certain remedial measures which were indicated in the field of post graduation in Law.
Kiren Rijiju, the Indian Law minister on Thursday said that the Bar Council of India has identified 500 sub-standard law colleges across the country which are not imparting education in right atmosphere and right way. To put an end or improve the standard a team comprising of some former Judge(s)/Senior Advocate(s) and noted academicians will be going to conduct surprise visits to such Institutions.
Bar Council of India has allowed law colleges to physically conduct examinations after receiving a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the respective State governments and State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) in view of the pandemic.
