Hearing a case on pollution the Supreme Court directs Centre to ensure smog free Delhi. In a case of breach of privilege motion Supreme Court has summoned Maharashtra Assembly Secretary for contempt, and intimidating Arnab Goswami. After banning sale and bursting of firecrackers in Diwali, Calcutta High Court bans firecrackers in Kali puja as well. Supreme Court gives ultimatum to the builders in the Maradu flat demolition case to either propose a fresh plan to pay dues or face sale of all attached properties.
