One PIL in Manipur High Court was filed by two office-bearers of a civil organization, named United Women Organization, Tamenglong, on the ground that a sufficient number of Specialist Doctors and staff were not available at Tamenglong District Hospital.
In view of the matter, the grievance of the petitioners in these two cases stands settled , the Manipur High Court division bench closed the PILs filed in the context of a contagious disease that fatally afflicted cattle in the State of Manipur.
The Manipur High Court has observed that triable personal issues cannot be addressed by the High Court in exercise of jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution and more so, in a writ petition filed in purported public interest.
