The Faculty of Law, & Delhi School of Public Policy & Governance, Institution of Eminence, University of Delhi in association with Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee, Supreme Court of India is organising a 3rd International Conference on Mediation on 9th-10th April, 2022 through a virtual mode.
The Chief Justice of India, before allowing the arguments to start, suggested Senior Advocate Dushyant Dave appearing for Andhra Pradesh, "I don't want to hear this matter legally. If the matter can be settled in mediation, please do that. Otherwise, I will transfer this to another Bench."
The fine distinction between Meditation and Mediation is the presence and absence of the letter 'T'. In meditation, the Self itself acts as the Third Party or the Teacher and guides Self to realise the true nature of Self. 'T' in mediation is the mediator.
The inauguration of the second International Conference on Mediation as done today by Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. Former Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra and Delhi University VC Dr PC Joshi also spoke on the occasion.
